Indoor Data Quality

We’ve talked a lot about indoor environmental quality on this show, but how do we measure that and how do we know that our measurements were consistent and accurate? Turns out, data quality in the built world can be quite opaque and challenging to reign in. But there’s hope. Join Kristof as he interviews Anjanette Green, Director of standards at RESET about the nature of data quality in the built world and how it impacts the daily lives of practitioners and occupants across the planet.

Anjanette has over 15 years of experience in Architecture and Design, advising on single and multi-attribute building and material certification projects across the globe. Working with clients from China to New Zealand she analyzes materials and manufacturing processes providing solutions for some of today’s most challenged sectors.

As director and co-author of RESET, Anjanette is spearheading the world's first and only certification program focused solely on Indoor Air Quality (IAQ).  As a former resident of Shanghai, China, Anjanette worked on the first fully certified RESET project in the world and has been on the forefront of investigative research and critical analysis of the health and well-being of building occupants for the better part of her career.

As a materials analyst, Living Product Assessor and third-party Verifier for the International Living Future Institute, Anjanette is among an elite group of experts working to bring healthier products to market.  Anjanette has worked tirelessly with every manner of manufacturer from resilient flooring to activated carbon filtration machines, to assess the ingredients in supply chains to remove culprit chemicals that contribute to poor IAQ. To date, Anjanette has employed biomimetic design and green chemistry to replace some of our most onerous chemicals of concern ubiquitous to the building and construction industry.

Anjanette was the first LBC ambassador in China and Consultant for the country’s first LBC projects. This year, she was the first LBC Ambassador in Peru and hopes to usher in a new series of healthy building to support the efforts of the growing collaborative in South America. She has authored and contributed to HPDs, EPDs, numerous Declare labels, and international PCRs.

She is: RESET AP and Senior Fellow, Living Future Accredited, Living Producdt Assessor, Declare third-party Verifier, LEED AP with Specialty & Badge, Member USGBC Working Group (IAQ), Mindful Materials (mM) Content Working Group and Portal Working Group, Member XPrize Community, First LBC Ambassador, China, First LBC Ambassador, Peru, LBC Collaborative Member, LPC Ecosystem Member, Volunteer and Advisory Board Member ARC Amazon, Peru.
